Peach and Walnut Spice Cake recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup of butter.
½ cup of sugar.
½ cup of brown sugar, packed.
4 medium eggs.
1/3 cup of molasses.
2 peaches, fresh.
2 ½ cup of flour.
½ teaspoon of salt.
¾ teaspoon of baking Soda.
2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
½ teaspoon of nutmeg.
½ cup of walnuts, chopped.
Whipped cream (optional).
Directions:
Beat together the butter, sugars and eggs.
Add the molasses and beat thoroughly.
Peel and chop the peaches; then stir into the mixture.
Combine the remaining ingredients (except whipped cream) and stir into the creamed mixture until smooth.
Pour into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into its center comes out dry.
Cut into squares and top with whipped cream if desired.
